What’s Been Happening?
This outreach has been really amazing and the Lord has done so much already. We spent our first week in Nadi at the Vunayasi YWAM base. We got to do a range of ministry such as kids ministry, evangelism and even got to teach in the DTS! All the students tag-teamed the topic of hearing the voice of God and I got the privilege of doing a biblical overview lecture. These first two weeks have not been without its challenges but it has without a doubt been fruitful. We are currently in a village in Fiji called Raki-Raki, staying at the Christian Life Center Church. We will have two weeks here working with prison evangelism, women's ministry, youth and kids ministry, hospital visits and working primarily with this church's congregation.
What’s To Come?
We have six more weeks in Fiji and some ministry plans are still up in the air but we are in constant prayer that wherever we end up, that the Lord will have his way. As of right now we don't know where we will be going after next week so the team has definitely practiced patience, flexibility and reliance on God. PRAISE GOD!! After I get back to kona we will have a week of student debrief and a few days of staff debrief and then I will jump straight into prepping for the Bible Core course I get to lead in April. I will also get the chance to take a breather and go home for two weeks in December.
Thank You!
I want to say a HUGE thank you to all those who have been supporting me and praying for me, it has honestly changed my life to see all the people who believe in what the Lord has called me to. I wouldn't be able to do this incredible ministry without the love and support of so many!
Student Testimony
“Being in Nadi was such an encouraging time. For us to be able to be surrounded by such strong believers in the beginning of outreach was such a blessing. Hearing the testimonies of the staff at base, and what they’ve gone through to get where they are now was really eye opening and inspiring. Despite going through so many struggles and hard times, they’ve continued to put their trust and faith in Jesus. They showed me the true definition of living for Christ. I believe that God specifically had us begin in Nadi so that we would be able to be reminded why we chose to do missions. The people around us had such a joy and light about them that the atmosphere on the base felt like home to me. I hope I am able to bring those feelings with me and overflow into every person I meet throughout the rest of outreach!” - Katarina, DTS Student
Prayer Points
For prayer points I have a few:
Pray for the Papua New Guinea team that they would get their visas. They have shifted gears and have actually been here in Fiji doing outreach (we got to merge for the first week which was super sweet because the leaders of that team are first time leaders so I got to support them a little their first week) while they wait for their visas. The enemy has put so many blockaids in their way that I just know God has so much for them in PNG!
Pray for the health of my team. We have been dealing with a lot of sickness and injuries which makes it hard to do ministry. I had a severe allergic reaction the first few days we were here that made it painful to swallow even just water.
Pray for ministry opportunities to open up and finances to work out because we have had a lot of hiccups within the first two weeks and we have had to move funds around to make things work
The Bible School
When I get back to Kona I will be hitting the ground running with prepping for the Bible Core Course. That being said I still need 4 more students for the school to run. I already have all the staff and plenty of speakers for each book, I just need the people to come. Please, if you know anyone who has already completed their DTS and would be interested in doing a bible school in April, let them know we are running an inductive study focussed bible school in Kona Hawaii and we would love to have them. Please also pray that the right people would join!
