What's been happening
Right at this very moment I am on board a YWAM Sailing Vessel that I will leave un-named for legal reasons. We are sailing to an island called Beqa which is a day sail. We had to anchor in a bay last night and may need to do the same today because the seas get pretty rough during the day. It's been really fun being on a ship again. I feel like I'm totally built for this life. We have had an incredible outreach here in Fiji and it's coming to a close. I've had the blessing of not only serving the people of Fiji but also reigniting my love for the islands and reaching isolated people groups. I've also continued in my own growth and discipleship as the Lord challenges and pushes me to be more like him. I'm definitely far from that mark but I'm glad he gives me opportunities everyday to try.
What's to come
When I get back to Kona after we debrief and graduate our students and we do our own staff debrief, I will begin preparations for the Bible Core Course. Its such a blessing that we even get to run the school. We, as a base, have been struggling with student numbers and I'm praying for at least 6 students. As of right now I'm only aware of 2 that are signed up. I'm excited to see who the Lord brings. Whoever they are, God has chosen them for this time.
Thank you!
Thank you again to all the people who have made it possible for me to do the work God has called me to do. I truly wouldn't have the privilege to be a part of this without those people and truly see the support that comes from those who partner with me and my own work as equal. God uses some to go and some to send and both are needed pieces to his puzzle.
DTS Testimony
“It’s been really cool to see how the Lord has been faithful to little words given to us even before outreach. Words that reference our team being on a boat and Islands and how many locations we were going to go to. We ended up going to Nadi, and Raki-raki which are both on the Viti Levu and we also went to Yaqeta and Beqa, two islands, which aligns with words we got before outreach. It was clearly the Lord that worked it out because all outside things failed, communication was faulty and any efforts we made failed so it was very clearly the Lord facilitating this outreach.” - Lydia, DTS Student
Prayer points
We have had quite the outreach so I have a few prayer requests for our team:
Health! We have had continued sickness and general health issues such as terrible sleep and allergies for much of the team. Pray that the Lord would renew and strengthen us and for sickness to not be a distraction.
Team unity and the ability to love each other well even in uncomfortable or difficult circumstances.
My leadership alongside my co-leader Shane. Pray that we remain humble and teachable and that he would give us room to speak into the lives of our students.
As for prayer requests for the BCC:
Pray for more students!!! This is my biggest prayer right now for the school because we need 5 students to run the school. Right now we only have two signed up. Pray that God brings the right people.
Pray for those students that have signed up and for the Lord to prepare their hearts.
Pray for myself and my staff, that we would prepare well and rest now so we can be ready for their arrival.
