Meet Bailey

I started with YWAM in 2018 and while doing a discipleship school fell in love with the Pacific Islands! Since then Ive been a full time missionary since 2022 in Kona Hawaii where I get to do a multitude of ministries at the heart of the Pacific.

I work in YWAM Ships Kona’s training department where I have the privilege of working with our DTS and leading our BCC. I also work with a local church as one of their worship leaders and youth leaders.

YWAM stands for Youth With A Mission and we aim to disciple youth into global missions. We have bases all over the world with a variety of christian ministries.

DTS stands for Discipleship Training School and this is YWAM’s entry level program. Our students walk through 12 weeks of lectures focusing on topics that range from Bible overview to missions. They then get to go on a two month outreach to different nations to put what they have learned into practice.

BCC stands for Bible Core Course and this school is considered a secondary school to be done after a students DTS. The focus of this school is Biblical studies through a method called the Inductive Method. Students will have 12 weeks of lectures on the different genres of scripture, reading through the entire bible. There is also an optional outreach that follows.
Why do I do this?
Because I love the Lord and have seen His faithfulness in my life and I desire to see people experience the freedom, peace and joy that comes with walking with Him!
