Whats Been Happening?
Last time I sent out an update I shared about the DTS I was about to staff and the outreach to Papua New Guinea I was about to lead! This DTS was such an incredible season where I got to take my excitement for scripture and impart that to the next generation and to the people of Papua New Guinea. I got to teach the book of Daniel in the Discipleship Bible school in Kona and I got to get my own DTS students excited about the word of God and its importance in their lives. As far as the outreach goes it was an incredibly fruitful time where I got to see God move in ways I have never seen before in my life!What an honor and privilege this outreach was!
What’s To Come
Right now I am home for the first time in a year which is crazy. One of the things I'm constantly counting the cost of is leaving my family for the call of God in my life. It's hard but every time i ask myself if it's worth it there is no hesitation that it is absolutely worth it. Ill be here in Florida connecting with family and fundraising for about a month and then I go back. I will be doing a school called DTS Equip in april which is a workshop for DTS staff and school leaders who want to gain more tools for discipleship. I am also praying about whether to staff DTS in July, Staff SBS in September or somehow staff both. I will be praying and seeking the Lord for next steps.
Finances $ $ $
There is a lot on the horizon so my support need is quite large between flights to and from kona, montana, colorado and papua new guinea to accomodation the only real way any of these things can take place is with both the will of the Lord and the partnership of generous supporters. My fundraising goal is $12,500 for the whole year flights and all. $5,200 of that I will need by the beginning of March at the latest to pay for the DTS Equip school. DTS Testimony
One of the coolest things we got to take part in on this last outreach was handing out operation Christmas child boxes to the kids in a village called Bagabag. I have always heard about this ministry, but I’ve never gotten to see it in action. I think I may have even packed these kinds of boxes when I was young with my family and I remember always wondering if they actually went to the people I envisioned they would go to. It was such a privilege to get the deliver for most of these kids, their first christmas present ever! The way operation christmas child works is boxes are packed from families all around the world with different toys and goodies for different age groups and samaritans purse and other organizations will facilitate different missionaries delivering these boxes. The heart behind it is showing these kids and their families the love of Jesus through showing them that they are seen and they are important. You could visibly see the joy on the child's face when their name was called and they were handed their very own box. It was so special!
Prayer Points
My main two prayer points I have are for support in his direction for the details of this year as well as finances to come in. I have a lot to pray through and wait on the Lord for so it would be really great if i had the prayers and support of friends and family. Over and over again I have seen the Lord do incredible things and I am believing for even greater things!
